Angels' Voices in Pine Needles

One of my goals in this project was to explore the intersections between drawing and audio recording. Angels' Voices was composed using scanned drawings of pine needles while experimenting with changes in pitch and duration in the audio program I was using. A few happy accidents occurred while I worked on this project....for example, while experimenting with the digitized drawings within the audio editing program, I discovered that adjusting different levels and pitches resulted in sounds that revealed an angelic quality. Eerily, the 'angels' sounded as though they were taking breaths between notes.
