On August 21st I was in Banff National Park recording by a river. I was interested in hearing the 'sounds of an eclipse' and how they might differ from the other recordings that I had been making for this project. In the end, the ravens in the trees above were still chatty but were more subdued than usual. As I recorded, with my back to the sun, the light slowly began to dim as the eclipse darkened the landscape.
